Omarion feat. Lil’ Wayne – I Get It In LISTEN
Omarion recently signed a deal to Lil’ Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment, which is also home to newcomer Drake, Shanell and most recently Bow Wow. No official word on whether or not this is truly O’s new single, but I’m sure after it starts to hit blogs, he’ll have something to say about via his Twitter page.

Doesn’t seem like anything they’ll actually put on a CD even though it’s not that bad. I just decided to post it because I like hearing the boy. This K-Young guy been on er’body song, who is he?
Trey Songz – First Date Sex LISTEN
Songz has decided to re-cover (remix and cover) Jeremih’s Birthday Sex song. I think I like this a lil more than the original song even though it sounds freestyled…he still did the damn thang.
Ne-Yo – Gentleman’s Affair LISTEN
I don’t usually post his music but something about this beat is fresh. It kinda sounds like a Dr. Dre production. I can’t hate on Ne-Yo though, his writing skills are dope.
Yung LA feat. Ricco Barrino - Futuristic Love (Elroy) LISTEN
I’m not too much of a Yung LA fan but I had to post this ’cause Ricco’s on the track. Just like his sister vocally but he sounds very different and is very different from other R&B singers out.
Day 26 – Get Away Girl LISTEN
I like this song alot and I’m glad they’re trying to do something different this time around, even though it’s not that much.
Omarion – I Think My Girl Is (Ay Ay) LISTEN
Here’s another my girl gotta girlfriend song…but the first from Omari. He’s basically saying, “I think my girl is bi ay ay ay”. Anyway, whatever works, I guess?
Omarion – Can U Keep A Secret? (Produced by the Underdogs) LISTEN
O seems to be following the same road he’s been on before because this track doesn’t seem to be anything different than anything he’s done before. I think he needs to switch it up and do a little more extra. Overall the track is okay, I had to post it because Omari is one of my guilty pleasures.
Keri Hilson feat. Ne-Yo and Kanye West – Knock You Down LISTEN
I know her CD will be dropping soon and I’m wondering whether these tracks that have been leaking will be on it. I like this song especially because Yeezy is on it. I hope this is on the CD though.
J. Holiday – Lights Go Out LISTEN
I think J’s got himself a great “2nd Round” which is the title of his upcoming CD. The tracks that I’ve heard are just what he needs this time around and this one is no exception…I might just have to cop this here!

Omarion returns with a Weezy F. Baby assisted track produced by none other than Timbaland. O is said to be releasing an album on the Mosley Music Group/Interscope imprint sometime this year. The track is cool but it also feels like its missing something.
Felisha and Fallon of Cherish – Infected LISTEN
Seems like the sisters have divided into a twosome and created another group. This song to me really doesn’t sound like anything different than what they did with the other sisters but I don’t think that that’s what they were going for.
Trey Songz – Brand New LISTEN
Here’s a new track from Trey…I don’t know whether it’s on a mixtape or an upcoming CD but its nice. He’s kinda bordering the lines of R. Kelly maybe lately, I don’t know.

R&B star Omarion recently spoke with MTV about a number of issues, including the B2K/Chris Stokes controversy, his departure from Sony and new recording home, Timbaland’s Mosley Music Group.
B2K and Controversy:
“Really, my thing is, I talked to the cats (his ex bandmates), and it’s sad what people will do when they’re in the position of ‘don’t have,’ ” the singer said of his onetime group members Raz, Fizz and J-Boog. “People will say, ‘Omarion is still out there and in the pubic. Omarion is still successful.’ But they don’t sit back and think, ‘Why is Omarion able to get this opportunity? Why are they not getting this opportunity?’ Fizz put a single out. They are a product of their karma. I can’t talk in detail about what was done [on their parts], but a lot of wrongdoing was done. A lot of false statements — off-the-wall, disrespectful things. Not even on a dislike level. On a hurtful level.“I used to rock with them dudes, and now when I see them, it’s not like that,” he added. “It’s gotta be like, I look at you funny or you look at me funny. If somebody has done something to disrespect you as a man, I feel like I have to protect myself. So now when I see them, after everything that happened, how do I be nice? How do I be cool? I’m a spiritual dude, and a part of me is forgiving. But there is so much that has been done, you get tired of that. This whole next album, you’ll see a whole new Omarion.”
Leaving Sony:
“I asked to be released,” he said of the rumors that Sony dropped him. “A release is different from a drop. When an artist is dropped, usually they haven’t brought any revenue to the company. As you know, I’ve been with that company for a long time, roughly over six years. Throughout B2K and my solo albums, revenue was still brought in. An artist like me could never get dropped. How did I get dropped and I still ended up in a great situation? Usually when you hear ‘drop,’ it means, ‘Oh, he’s over.’ It’s a wrap. It’s unfortunate that stuff like that gets put out there. Everybody likes to associate — especially me being such a cool dude — with negative things. Are you kidding me?”
Working with Timbaland:
“We’re just picking each other’s brains to see what can be done differently,” he continued. “My energetic style and aggressiveness when I perform, I don’t think that’s necessarily been captured [for the length of] an album. I always felt like I had joints like ‘Touch,’ even ‘Entourage,’ where it’s upbeat. But it hasn’t been captured in an album. All these crazy new dances, all these different things I wanna do. When I look at my peers in the game, they capture the true essence of who they are. I kinda felt like throughout my career, I had just blots of that.”
I just hope this will be a bigger effort than that joint he did with Bow Wow. He’s really got something and I hope working with a new group of people can bring that out of him. -Lana B.
